Ranjith In Trouble Again, Arrested By Police

In a shocking development, Malayalam director and producer Ranjith Balakrishnan has been arrested by Ernakulam Central Police in a sexual assault case.

He had earlier faced several allegations related to inappropriate behaviour which were also mentioned in the Hema Committee Report.

As per reports a young actress filed a complaint with Kochi police about an incident that took place during a film shoot.

After a preliminary investigation, police took Ranjith into custody in Idukki while he was travelling for an event and later shifted him to Kochi.

The actress alleged that Ranjith called her to his caravan during the shoot and behaved in an indecent manner. She immediately left and complained to the Internal Complaints Committee which later approached the police.

Ranjith had faced similar allegations earlier but denied them and stepped down from his official position.
